About

I am a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.  I love the outdoors, and have five dogs, and a cat.  Two labs, a beagle, a mutt, and a Shi-Tzu.  Four outside and the Shi-Tzu, shares the indoors, couch, bed, and anything else you want with me.

I love all wildlife and live in the country, so I am so blessed to see so much of it.  Deer, squirrels, rabbits, birds, etc…  I feed them all.

My hobbies are:  Art, reading, taking walks, looking at nature, and watching T.V. at night, as I am very busy and do not have time to watch during the day.

I am a Catholic convert of nine years, which the Catholic Church has been the greatest blessing of my life.  I also take care of my mother who has Alzheimer’s and is in a nursing home, and a Daddy who is also up in age.  I see about him, as he is up and still going pretty well.

The very best thing I love to do in life, is pray.  I love to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, Rosary, and Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  I spend the first hour of the day with God, and the last with Him.

I have been through a lot of suffering in the past 6-9 months, and hope to share some of it with you, in hopes to helps others.

I hope you enjoy reading as I know I will enjoy getting to know you as well.

God Bless, SR

  2. So I have been been feeling a loud and strong call today to pray the chaplet of divine mercy. Unbeknownst to me, I was staring at a painting in church later to find out it was the vision, the painting of the divine mercy. What is this calling I am feeling? It is strong and I don’t even know what it is!!!!

    • Hey Melissa,

St. Faustina is my patron Saint. If you have not read her diary you really need to. “The Diary of St. Maria Faustina.” Probably the “feeling” you are having as most of us do, who have read about The Divine Mercy Chaplet, is how imperative it is, that we offer to God, Jesus, for His mercy. Truly, that is the only way we can obtain God’s mercy. Jesus is all we have that stands in between God, us, and His wrath. Of course God knew this, and this is why Jesus had to come.

Jesus told St. Faustina, “Now is the time for mercy.” Meaning, at the final judgment there is not going to be any mercy. It will be said and done, the sheep will be separated from the goats, and the decision will be made for us all. The world is in such a pitiful state, I would imagine it is Jesus letting you know, we must pray for “mercy.” I cannot explain it all here without writing a book, but maybe this will be enough for you to go on until you read the Diary.

I always offer it also for those who do not have a repentant heart. There are lots of people like that in the world too. Hope this helps.

I pray a decade of the Chaplet everyday, and if I am busy at 3:00 p.m. the hour of mercy, I do what He told St. Faustina to do and that is, “Immerse all souls in His mercy.” God Bless, SR

  3. I’m still here, just caught up in a lot of busy-ness lately. I looked for your email, but can’t find it. I’ll be back blogging again as soon as possible. For now, I’m resting, leaning, and trusting in His will, His ways, and His time. One day at a time.

Thank you for thinking of me, and saying a prayer when I cross your mind.

    Much love
    Lyn
